    Description

    Antique Real Photo Postcard captioned: "89-Sport on the Picnic Rocks, Quonochontaug, R.I." Image of Quonochontaug Beach, Charlestown/Westerly, RI. Postmarked at Bradford (Westerly/Charlestown,) July 1917 to Terryville, CT addressee. Message indicates that the writer's cottage is the one with the cross, and the author has marked the card with a small pencil cross above the third cottage from the right on front. If one reads the full message, one hopes that the bathing beach is a different beach than the one displayed in the image, otherwise one is forced to wonder about the author's intellect or at least wonder about the author's views on the intellect of the addressee.  One cent stamp.
